Finally, the Ministry of Health has decided to act against those hygiene or cleaning products that resemble candies, from next year they will be removed from the Spanish market. The reasons are quite obvious, we put for example the balls antipolilla, these can be confused with a candy and be ingested by the children, the consequences can be serious intoxications and in some cases fatal outcomes.
Everything that is small, manipulable by the hands of a child, toxic and similar to any edible product, will be removed. This is an effective way to combat and reduce some of the domestic accidents that occur in our country, which by the way, are not few. It seems that from now on the Ministry of Health is going to take the safety of children in all areas, including domestic ones, more seriously, although the kitchen or bathroom cause more accidents.
Anyway, although the measure is grateful, we believe it has taken too long to realize the similarity of some products with candies. Some of them will not have entered homes with children to avoid accidents, in others parents will have taken all possible precautions to avoid them, but much better will be that a cleaning product, for example, is not as attractive as a candy.
The children will be a little safer from now on, but we must never let our guard down, we already know that children are very curious and explorers of everything around them.
