The Look on Ice, photographic exhibition of deaf children

It has just opened in Madrid, specifically in the Atocha Station, a unique photographic exhibition whose main theme is deaf childhood, it is about The Look on Ice. The exhibition aims to give an original and satisfactory welcome to the attendees of the XV World Congress of the WFD (World Federation of the Deaf) that will begin on July 16 in the Spanish capital.

The Look on Ice is an interesting exhibition where the protagonists are deaf children, through the photographs they convey their emotions, their expressiveness with sign language or their looks, it is a claim to banish all those prejudices that cause human distinction, making totally normal people seem strange or different. The exhibition will be contemplated by all the people that pass through Atocha until next July 30, date in which it will move to other destinations becoming an itinerant exhibition. It is art, it is a claim, it is the acceptance of a condition, initiatives of this nature are applauded and admired by us, we can learn a lot from them.

Fortunately, today there are fewer barriers that deaf children have to face, just remember the post "Deaf children once suffered the weight of the hearing community and could not develop intellectually" to realize it , but there is still a long way to go.
