An Asturian municipality grants 6,000 euros to couples who settle there and have a child

Ponga, an Asturian municipality, seeks the growth of its inhabitants that currently has 861 registered and about 500 residents. To do this, they have announced that couples who move to Ponga for a minimum of five years will be compensated with 3,000 euros, in addition, for every child they have they will give them 3,000 euros more.

The offer is tempting for those who are not linked to their population or city and seek a change of residence in a municipality of such characteristics, as the amount that a couple waiting for a baby would receive if they settled in this Asturian corner could amount to 9,000 euros, the 6,000 mentioned by the City Council, 500 euros offered by the Principality per son and that can begin to be delivered this month and the 2,500 granted by the central government. It may sound somewhat scandalous to seek the growth of a town in exchange for money, but a municipality that barely has fifty minors shows a very daunting future. On the other hand, we must assess the possibilities of work in the area, since generally, where the population decreases where there is less future or less possibilities.

The mayor of Ponga is clear, young people face economic problems to start a family, and this little push can help them. If they are established in the town, the five years that "sign" to get the subsidy can become many years or a lifetime, the population grows and the people do not die.

It could be a good destination for couples who want to have a big family. A place where they say that the standard of living is not so expensive, they reduce construction taxes to facilitate the creation of businesses and employment, etc., if it goes well, it could become a population of large families with good quality of life.
