The 10 most dangerous toys of 2010 according to WATCH

For Christmas we must exercise caution when choosing the toys that we are going to give away. Therefore, just as a couple of days ago we offered you the 2010-2011 Toy Guide with the most appropriate toys for each age for their safety and playful value, today we bring to light the opposite: the 10 most dangerous toys according to WATCH.

WATCH (World Against Toys Causing Harm) is a worldwide organization dedicated to denouncing dangerous toys that each year publishes a list of toys that can cause injury or even death.

There are toys that seem harmless but hide real risks for the little ones. The game is learning, therefore toys should be educational instruments that contribute to the development of the child with all safety guarantees.

Let's see what are the 10 most dangerous toys. I have obtained a photo of each one so you can identify them well, since the list is made in the United States and may be marketed in Europe with a different name or manufacturer.

1) Spy Gear Split Blaster

It is a gun that simultaneously fires two plastic bullets in two different directions with a firing power capable of hurting eyes and face.

2) SupaSplat Splatblaster

It is a dangerous gun that shoots balls at high power and can harm people and animals. The safety instructions warn that not even the lenses that are included serve to protect you.

3) Buzz Magnets

It contains small magnets that children can introduce into holes such as the mouth, ear or nose and that if ingested can obstruct seriously damage the intestines, cause serious infections, perforations and even death.

It is a sword with the theme of the Kung Fu Panda film made of rigid plastic that can cause serious injuries to the face or body.

5) Ballzillon Tug Boat Play Center

It is an inflatable boat that warns that it cannot be used in water. The indications for use are confusing as well as the recommendation for the correct ages to whom the product is aimed.

6) My First Mini Cycle

It is a plastic tricycle recommended for children from 18 months, but being too low and being so close to the ground is dangerous for outdoor use. Also, even though the use of a helmet is recommended, the child in the photo does not wear it

This drag toy is a multicolored caterpillar for babies from twelve months of age. It contains a plastic rope that separates easily and represents a choking hazard for the child.

These stuffed ponies are sold at Toys R Us. They have hair that is easily removed, representing a risk of ingestion or suffocation for the child.

9) Big Bang Rocket

It is a rocket that, when fired into the air, causes a loud noise capable of harming children's ears.

10) Walkaroo II Aluminum Stilts

They are aluminum stilts recommended for children from 5 years. They are considered dangerous because of the great risk of falling and hitting the head or other parts of the body.
