We have been in the workshop for families at the Casa del Lector de Madrid called The thread of Ariadne. Readers, navigators

Since October 17, 2012 in the Reader's House are performing, in collaboration with Talk in art, a program of visits-workshop for families with children from 6 to 12 years old on the occasion of the temporary exhibitions of this cultural institution. The Reader's House is in one of the buildings of the Matadero Madrid complex.

In Casa del Lector you can visit the Exhibition The thread of Ariadne. Readers, navigators until the March 16, 2013. In the visit we attended, we were shown some of the exhibits where we saw mazes, voices that represent communication, the letters that build the words and everything under the myth of Ariadne's thread that guided Theseus through the labyrinth in his fight against The minotaur

And finally we access a work area where we perform, for groups of 4-5 children, a work that summarizes what we learned in the workshop.

From Talking in Art they are compiling the works of all the children who are making their creation in the workshop and then they are posting it on a blog. In these works you can see the creativity of children with few tools, basically paper, colors and scissors, although they use a very good direction from the managers of the workshop. And the objective in the exhibition is choose a word, a color and a rhythm and on those elements you can build a tour of the exhibition. Each group of children chooses a way to do it and as you can see they are all different, creative and full of sensations.
