The Madrid City Council proposes an excursion to celebrate Father's Day and visit the treasures of the capital

The Madrid City Council has organized a free guided route for the whole family and specially designed for children to participate. Is called The Treasures of Madrid with dad and it is a didactic and fun initiative to celebrate as a family the Father's day which will be next Monday, March 18 and in which there will also be no school because it is festive.

The tour, which takes place on foot, starts at 11:00 in the morning, and incorporates professional guides. The objective is visit classic places in the center of Madrid such as the Plaza Mayor, the Palace of Santa Cruz, the Puerta del Sol, the Church of San Ginés, the Plaza de la Villa, the Puerta Cerrada or the Arco de Cuchilleros (in the picture, fantastic and spectacular).

The goal is for parents and children, from Madrid or anywhere in the world, to get to know the impressive historical center of the city with details and explanations of the history, legends, curiosities and secrets. I think that the route can be affordable to take the kids walking and discovering the monumentality of the historic center of the capital of Spain.

I don't know if there will be places yet because up to 60 people and an additional group of 25 people with visual disabilities can participate in the tour. You have to sign up at the Tourism Center of the Plaza Mayor, which is in the Plaza Mayor number 27.

Although the route cannot be done on Father's Day, we remember that this tour can also be done every Saturday at 12:00 hours. It has a price of 5.90 euros and is free for children under 5 years old. From the Tourist Office of the City Council other children's routes are proposed to discover and enjoy the destination Madrid as a family, such as The Secrets of The Retreat which can be done on Sundays, at 12:00 hours. Too Imagine Madrid, which takes place on Saturdays, at 4:00 p.m. or In the footsteps of illustrious artists which takes place on Sundays, at 4:00 p.m.
