'Hidalgus' for the iPad: a different way to get to know the Spanish Golden Age

Hidalgus is a role-playing game for children from eight years old: it is set in an exciting time of Spanish literature (the Golden Age). The application has been developed by the Edebé publishing house.

The App allows children (and you too, don't believe) they get into the skin of the young farmer Martín Quesada, who wants to be part of the king's army. But Hidalgus is not a war game, rather it is about an open door to the knowledge of that time, with their customs, their language and their culture. Thus, Martín Quesada will run into characters such as Cervantes, Quevedo, Góngora and Velázquez.

Hidalgus is an iPad video game set in the Spanish Golden Age, when Cervantes wrote Don Quixote, when De Silva changed his name to Velázquez, the times when Góngora's burlesque letrillas against politicians ran from hand to hand and mouth in mouth

It is based on a turn-based combat system, and 15 different scenarios are reproduced with a faithful historical setting and recreation. The faithful companions of Martín Quesada share a screen with famous writers such as Quevedo, Cervantes or Velázquez.

Now the little ones are transported to the Spain of the corrals, the windmills and the dungeons, with only one finger. You can download it for your iPad from here for 2.69 euros.
