We love knowing that there are beaches prepared for families with babies (I wish there were many more!) And now we see other interesting initiatives. In this case with the "I read" campaign there are children's workshops on the beaches.
From last July 1 until August 31, the beaches of San Nicolás and Sirena Loca in the municipality of Adra, Almería, have this campaign underway. It is a space that offers families a leisure service so that children, together with baths and sand games, enjoy reading, environmental activities, games and workshops.
And is that children will not find only stories and books, despite the name "I read." Workshops bracelets, pasta necklaces, face painting, stone decoration or traditional games They have a place in this space that provides a "rest" to the sun and beach while having fun.
We might think that it is an idea something incompatible with the beach, but it does not seem to me at all. If we want to spend a long day at the beach (something that we particularly avoid), it is okay to take a "rest" in the shade by starting up other children's skills.
I would like to do these activities with my girls if we had to spend more time on the beach (in general, we go for short periods and therefore enjoy full of water and games in the sand), but it is a rather awkward place to do Crafts: in the sand, under an umbrella.
In the "Yo Leo" points there are monitors that from 11 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm, entertain, teach and environmentally aware children through fun games, cut-outs, crafts, reading animation…
