70 percent of parents leave their tablets to their children, and you?

The tablets have become the favorite unofficial toy of the little ones. In most homes we see how their use has become part of our daily lives, and also of the smallest.

According to the latest report on Cross-platform by Nielsen, 70 percent of parents leave their tablets to their children to use them for various purposes and you ?.

But what do children use tablets for? In 77 percent of cases they are used to play, in 57 percent to learn, 55 percent of the time to be distracted while traveling, 43 percent to see drawings or movies, and to a lesser extent, the 12 percent, to communicate with friends and family members.

It is clear that new technologies have sneaked into our lives in a way that perhaps many did not expect, but for the little ones, smartphones and tablets are essential tools of their environment, they no longer imagine life without them. And not bad, as long as we guide them in their use. As Miguel Angel Uriondo told us in an interview, "Not allowing children to approach technology is going against their nature."

As parents, we are responsible for the children's use of tablets, both time and content they consume according to their age. It is also possible that we should protect them with covers to avoid damage from falls, bumps or rubbing, but with the precautions taken they can be great allies in the education of the little ones.

At home, how are you? Do you leave the tablet in the hands of your little ones? What do they use them for?
